So, I am buying a dbrand skin for my cousin for Christmas and he has an iPhone X. But I was wondering adding a skin to the phone at the back void his warranty because I don't want to pay if anything bad happens to the phone and it's all because of the skin. Thank you.
This link https://dbrand.com/iphone-skins says the iPhone 8 and 8 PLUS skins are 0.23mm thick so I think that would be the same for every other iPhone, and material they use is 3M and I am not too sure if that contains metal.
As long as it can be removed it should not be a problem. But check with the manufacturer and make sure it won't interfere with wireless charging.
https://dbrand.com/shop/iphone-x-skins dbrand says that it's guaranteed to come off with no adhesive. But they don't say anything about wireless charging.
If it is 3mm to 5mm in thickness, or put another way thinner than the Apple silicone or leather cases, and has no metal it should be fine.
and the skin i am getting is carbon fiber but in a 3M material.
It should not contain any significant metal content if they are using 3M film and should be able to be removed. Hope you know what design they like.
