2017 Escape Sync3 Not Working

2017 Ford Escape (and 2018 Fusion rental, same week)- Carplay not working on my iPhone 7 (11.2.1).


Works on two other iPhone 7 (11.2.1) fine. Carplay worked with my phone last week in a GMC. Sync3 shows up, but does not recognize phone thru USB plugin on Fords.


Did Erase and Restore last night. No change.


Any suggestions?

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I understand that your iPhone 7 (running iOS 11.2.1) does not work with CarPlay in two vehicles, however two other iPhone 7 devices (also running iOS 11.2.1) both do work in those vehicles. The non-working iPhone 7 was working with a different model car a week ago. I'm happy to help!


I see that you've tried some troubleshooting on your own, by restoring the iOS software. Since that has not worked, the next step I would suggest is to get in touch with Apple Support directly for additional assistance. You can do that here: Contact Apple Suppor t.
