macbook pro laptop delete key not working; spacebar does "6" instead of space
Does anyone know how to correct a problem with the delete button (not working) and the spacebar typing a 6 instead of making a space?

First, restart your MacBook Pro by clicking the Apple menu and selecting "Restart..." from the drop down. Once the computer is back on, see if you're able to type as expected. If not, see if the keyboard works in safe mode: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support .
If the keyboard is still misbehaving after testing in safe mode, try setting up a new user and testing things out there: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac - Apple Support .
