I'm having trouble with my mighty mouse scrolling. It was working fine now not. I just replaced the batteries after indicatortold me to do so. I've tried re-loading the software (though the install routine called it an upgrade).
mac mini - dual core intel processor,
Mac OS X (10.4.8),
apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse
I have the same problem with not being able to scroll down. Can scroll up, left and right but not down. This is causing a lot of inconvenience with my 3D software.
I have re-installed the software from the cd, no change.
Ran the firmware update, no change.
Re-installed the cd software again, no change.
And tried just cleaning the ball, no change.
Even tried changing the batteries despite the bluetooth preferences showing the current batteries as fully charged. Alas, didn't help.
All this since the latest update to 10.4.9. It seems glaringly obvious to me that since so many people are having problems with bluetooth since this update that it must be software related. I would have thought Apple would have a better testing procedure when releasing operating system updates. Or at least monitor the support discussion forums to get an understanding of what problems are arising
