Have you installed Ad Blocker Plus? I don't know if it will work, but it's worth a try.
I‘m having the same annoying problem. I did exactly as you indicated but it continues to pop up. I’ve had my iPad for over 5 years and have never had a problem with malware/virus. any other suggestions?
Hi Courtney:
It clear many people are having difficulty and the suggestions listed here are not solving the problem. Can you offer us any other solutions or escalate this issue to someone who can? Please.
NOTHING YOU SUGGESTED WORKS!!!!
Amazon pop-ups still come up at least 10 times during a single search.
I agree. Pretty bad. I am using a VPN, now. That takes care of it, so far. Sad that Apple has dragged their feet.
I am having the same problem. Tried removing all website data......settings-safari-advanced-website data-remove all data. Worked at erasing all data. Went to yahoo.com, and all data came back by only opening yahoo.com home page. tried bing, only a few pieces of data came on. Tried bbc and nothing appeared in my data. Frustrating. Apple, please fix the problem
I saw that same Amazon pop-up on a brand new iPad Mini 4 that had never been used on public wi-fi or any unsecured network, so it’s very odd. But still, if you use your iPad on public wi-fi without a VPN, you’re asking for trouble. Encrypt.me is very easy to use, so I would recommend it if you use public wi-fi regularly. But if you only use it on rare occasions, it’s too expensive. Any suggestions for cheaper VPN options?
Lolol !!! Your fish analogy is perfect. Ad blocker is absolutely useless, just like all of these other no brainer suggestions that we have obviously tried prior to posting on this board.
How many people and how much time will it take for apple to take action. This is absurd and unacceptable.
I have this question, too, only my pop-ups happen in the Facebook app when using its built-in browser. I have tried all suggestions, deleted all caches, cookies and history in all the apps, turned off iCloud and deleted the info on it, restart, etc. None of this works.
Uuggghh, I get that a million times. At first I got really excited and was like, “Woohoo! New iPhone + AirPods!” (Because there was enough money offered to buy me an iPhone 8+ and Airpods) but then I read the small print...now I get that darn ad three times a day!
I’ve done all of your steps repeatedly. Nothing works! Come on Apple - fix this!
Is there a solution to this? I have followed your instructions several times but pop up continues to plague me!! Please help us....
I still have the same issues, any other solution?
