speaker icon missing on keypad

when asking a phone call, I often put the person on speakerphone.

When I hide the keypad to get the other selections like Mute, etc. I now don't see

the speakerphone icon.. I am on a 7 plus with IOS 11.2.1.

How can I retrieve the speaker phone icon to the keypad?

thanks

Hello Ladydi0996,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities.

I understand that when you go to put a call on speaker, you hide the keypad to get to other sections of the Phone app, but when doing that the speaker button is no longer showing. I'll be happy to help assist you with this.

It sounds like the Phone app isn't responding like it should. I suggest closing the Phone app and restarting your iPhone. Once you've done both, test and see if you get the same result.
