If the phone you sold was still logged in to your iCloud account that would explain everything.

No, the contacts didn’t appear again but 50% of my contacts went missing. As seen in the photo attached, it’s as though this is someone else safari browser history.

Leela roghini is linked to you via iCloud. That is showing the browser history on their device, not yours.
