Trimming video's - render to shortened version?

Is it possible to Trim a video, and then really 'cut' it, in stead of always keeping original with full length?


Sometimes its nice to have a revert to original option, but..... sometimes you want to make it the final.


Please don't say I have to export and import the video....


It would save me lots of space finally.


Hope someone knows the answer.

Please don't say I have to export and import the video....

That is the only way in Photos. Photos will always preserve the original - it is suppoting a lossless workflow.


I usually trim the video in iMovie and stabilize it, correct the color, and then reimport the final version to Photos.
