I would like to remove the unread badge identification in my email browser for the junk mail folder.
I've done this request as I have found online and it is still not working.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Still didn't help, but I think found a solution! Since it's a gmail account, I went into my account settings through gmail and then unchecked show in IMAP. Seems to be working so far. I do appreciate your time and willingness to provide different options. Take care Eric and have a great weekend!

Hi, while my message does apply to "badges" it's more of the internal badge within the mail app I want to turn off. I see a notification that I have a message in junk mail, but it wastes my time going to look into that folder on a regular basis. For some reason, the rules will not work within this program. Thanks for your suggestions though.
The OS shouldn't affect it. Maybe I didn't explain myself very well. Try changing the rule as I suggested earlier and see if it has the desired affect on future Junk Mail. Any e-mails already downloaded, even if they are new, need to use the Apply Rules as I posted earlier.
I believe this is what you mentioned to do. I did this and they are still showing up as new and unread.
In the second screen shot, try changing all to any. If any of the following conditions are met.

You are welcome. If the e-mails are already downloaded, Mail/Message/Apply Rules. The change suggested for the 2nd screen shot should apply to new e-mails.
Right, they are new emails and even with them being new that notification is still showing up. Does it work for you? I'm not on the latest operating system, maybe that has something to do with it?
I'm not sure it will help, but try making Perform the following actions:
Mark as Read
Move Message to mailbox Junk
