I really want to use my ipod classic again as it has been a few years since I have been able too. The screen is frozen on "ok to disconnect" have done the hold menu for 6 sec and middle toggle button and the apple logo appears but then it goes straight back to ok to disconnect?????? No computer picks it up and neither does itunes. Please someone help me actually fix this issue......cheers😕

So the hard drive has either failed completely, or the cable that links it to the main board isn't making good contact. Or you could investigate third party repair options.

It may be trying to start the drive. It should respond to a reset, select and menu for 6 seconds. Or it may be beyond redemption anyway.

i tried the joshhighland spanking method.... ahhhh now my ipod is making a weird sound and i cant turn my ipod off or anything.....
