You are positive that the drive is working?

If you do a "get info" on the installer what does it say?

You could try completely powering down your system, disconnect everything except the keyboard, monitor and mouse and start back up and try again.

I found some interesting stuff when I did a Google search on Tome.MPQ.

Are you sure you are trying to install the mac version? That file sounds like it is a PC file.

It should work fine. My friends and I installed it on 3 different Macs around and it's working fine. It's not the OS version that you should worry about it terms of installation requirements. Make sure you have enough RAM (1GB, no other apps running during installation) and video card & RAM.

Make sure you have the original World of Warcraft game installed first. The Burning Crusade is an expansion pack to the original game.
