iphone connection to older stereo system

How do I connect an iphone 5SE or 6 to an old Yamaha receiver? I would like to play my iphone playlist through the stereo speakers.

iPhone 5, iOS 11.2.2

The cheapest and simplest way was already given to you by MaxHedrm. Get an aux to RCA cable and use an aux input on your Yamaha: 6ft Premium 3.5mm Stereo Male to 2RCA Male 22AWG Cable (Gold Plated) - Black - Monoprice.com

You have several options, but they mostly involve using the headphone jack for output.

Option 1: Use a headphone to stereo RCA cable and run it to a free input on the receiver.

Option 2: Use an FM adapter plugged into the phone to broadcast to an unused FM frequency.

Or, as Philly_Phan suggested buy an Airport Express.

The simplest way would be to get a bluetooth receiver and plug that into your Yamaha amp.

Then simply play your iphone music or playlists via bluetooth to the new Bluetooth Receiver

Thanks to everyone today for your quick replies. I will try the suggested solutions. I think the Logitech device will be easiest to use given my configuration and the age of my equipment.
