Apple cash card will not allow me to add money with cards already in my Apple wallet!

I have been trying to add money to my Apple cash card. When I select add money, it’s is asking to to put in a new card. I don’t get the option to use cards already in my wallet. When I put the card in, I’m getting an error that the card is already in my wallet. Can someone please help me figure this out!

Hi

For adding money to your Apple Pay Cash balance, a debit card or supported prepaid card is required. It is not possible to use a credit card, a gift card or some prepaid cards.
