Yes, but I am disable the iCloud drive on all my devices the hidden folders will still be present there, in the cloud.

Let' say I go and buy only new devices, as soon as I enable the iCloud drive these preference files will be recreated on my devices.

And there is no way to delete these hidden preference folders without enabling the iDrive on a Macbook and enable seeing hidden files, but once you enable this a local copy will be made on your drive. And when deleting these hidden folders from Finder they will be recreated instantly from the local copy.

Do you get my point?

Unfortunately I don't like anything related to Microsoft or Google, also I don't trust them from a security/privacy point of view. Yes, iCloud drive has some issue. There is a command line utility which provides greater control of what's happening, called "brctl", but for the moment it lacks the functionality to delete orphaned hidden folders. I just hope some day Apple will improve this.

Thanks for that brctl command. Didn’t know about it 😉 Is there any chance to fix my problem with this util ? Every time I upload something or delete, it doesn’t reflect to my available storage on iCloud. It drives me mad, I’ve spoke to Apple Support, and they are going to wipe my iCloud Drive so I can start from brand new iCloud Drive without this crazy hidden folders and any other leftovers.
