iMac fan always running?
Just bought my very first iMac (3.4Hz, i5, 8GB memory, 256SSD) and I was just wondering whether it is normal to hear a constant rush of air from the iMac's rear vent? It's not particularly that loud and the fan is hardly straining, but is it standard for the iMac fan to be constantly on from startup - even when I have no apps running and my room temperature is only about 21C? I've tried a SMC reset and run Apple Diagnostics, which indicates nothing is wrong.
Like I say, not particularly that loud but just always there & discernible from about 3ft away. I guess if this is normal for all iMac owners, then I'm okay with the constant air flow sound, but if others have almost silent iMacs (under no strain) then I'm not. So an accepted iMac experience or not?
