Had my debit card breached couple days ago. Tons of charges including Itunes. We couldn't figure out how they got a hold of just my debit card. All of a sudden, my husband started getting tons of calls one right after the other from various phone numbers. They all said to call ICloud support and gave the 805-210-8019 number. I called the number from a land line out of curiosity, and it states that it's apple support. Obviously they were trying to look legit to get a new card number from me. Not happening people...you messed with the wrong chick!! Watch your credit/debit cards!!!

Yes, mj, it is a scam. I have received 6 calls today since 1:30 pm with more likely yet. The problem is that they keep calling. The calls appear to come from Apple Stores in Michigan and the numbers are spoofed but valid store numbers. The numbers vary from call to call. If one igonores the calls they leave a long message saying that my account has been breached and to call Apple Support at 805 210 8019. When they leave a message I have to log on to my voicemail and delete it, a PITA. The only way I have found to bypass this is to answer and immediately hang up. No voicemail can then be left although they then know my number is valid. I supect that the Apple Stores in question must be getting a lot of call backs from concerned or angry customers.

Thanks for your suggestion, I like it a lot but unfortunately cannot use it since all I get is a recorded message. I would have to call the 805 number to speak to someone and if I blast them (fun for sure) I would get 100 auto calls per day for a year. BTW, I have given them your number so they can call you next... 🙂

I've had several voicemails that say to call Apple's "toll free" number 805-210-8019 which of course is not toll free at all. Glad to see it confirmed a scam number, just wish I could keep them from calling again.

I live in Washington state and have gotten calls from ****** (lake Zurich, il) & ****** (boise, id) each in the last hour giving the message described with the callback # of *****. Be aware they are using several numbers and I have confirmed with the REAL APPLE SUPPORT they are all scam numbers...Good luck all!

I have received several calls from various numbers and then the voicemail says to contact them later pelase call 805-210-8019. The Phone numbers that I call back are like in a mall and actual stores for Apple. So far 708-645-5401 from Orland Park, IL (2), 253-201-8510 from Tacoma, WA (3), 847-205-2020 (2) from Northbrook IL, 425-906-1597 from maple Valley, Wa are all from today. Yesterday I had 847-847-0400 from Lake Zurich, IL, and 208-377-6500 from Boise ID. This is ridiculous and needs to stop blowing up my phone. ITS NOT OK...

The scammers have absolutely no idea as to where you purchased a Mac. They actually no absolutely zero about you, or anything you own. They can however, obtain info if a person they call were gullible enough to believe them.

Man my parents just received 4 calls today with the same scenario. They are using legitimate Apple Store numbers in Arizona. I traced them back to the San Tran and Biltmore stores. We don't give out any information and try to call the numbers back. I guess the apple store has some protocol to deal with this because their voicemail says "Apple is aware of some customers receiving unsolicited calls from this apple store" then goes on to talk call the FBI. I just wonder how the got a home phone number, sheesh. I'm assuming these scammers are spoofing real Apple Store numbers.

Does this mean that my security is really breached? And what should one do?
