Mac Mini 2012 (Outage Problem - doesn't turn on) - EFI Firmware solution?
I have the same problem before. And a person here helped me, so I'm using same instructions here to power it back on. Basically, every time there's an outage, Mac mini won't turn on. They suggested PRAM reset and it helped. It's pain in the a** though.
Based on what the other person suggested, they think the problem is in EFI Firmware and there's something that prevents the OS X starting normally after an outage.
I still cannot turn on the mini, but let's say I'd fix that within couple days. My question is there a way to prevent that from happening or an update of the EFI Firmware to stop that happening with every outage??? It's very annoying.
I do have a power surge protection, but that doesn't help the problem.
I have mac mini 2012, latest OS X Sierra High with all updates in place (cannot check for details, mini doesn't turn on yet).
Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
