iPad WIFI disconnection

My iPad keeps disconnecting from the WiFi while other devises are still connected?

You can reset the network connections on the iPad. Go to Settings>Reset>Reset Network connection. That will reset all network connections, but will also delete all wi-fi passwords. You will need to add them back again. If that does not fix it. then forget the wi-fi network, then disconnect your router from power for 30 seconds and then power it back on again. Once it has rebooted, attempt to connect your iPad again and see what happens.

Then it makes me wonder if this is an issue with those apps on the iPad if you are not having issues with the internet and Safari. Try removing the apps in question, and then install them again to see if that makes a difference.


So let me make sure I'm understanding correctly. You start to use the app and after a period of time the wi-fi disconnects. How much time passes before it disconnects? Is it when the screen auto-locks, or a period of time after that happens? Is it the same for both of these apps? What changed before this problem occurred, had you updated iOS, or any other change? Did it change when you updated the apps? Which iPad are you using and what version of iOS?

Well, I just downloaded iHeartRadio on my iPad Mini 4. I logged into my account and started up a radio station I listed to that is in out state. I started it, and it has been playing now for 4 minutes and is still going strong. The screen locked at 2 minutes as I have it set in Settings and the music has continued. I'm not sure what else to recommend, since your internet is working fine, it just seems to be these apps.


Have you tried force closing the apps, then starting them back up again? I know it didn't seem to work when you deleted the apps and downloaded them again, but I'm reaching at straws here. I'm up to 7 minutes now and it is still going strong. You might want to check with iHeartRadio support and see what they have to say, if there are other iPad users experiencing a problem.
