iPhone SE battery replacement question

I have a c.20 month old iPhone SE that lags quite a bit (when on twitter, whatsapp etc). The battery test at the Apple Store said my phone's battery was excellent (c.98%), if I went ahead and got it replaced anyway, would it speed up the phone to normal?
