Custom Images for safari bookmarks

Does anyone else get bored with the images provided for new safari bookmarks? I mean, Safari does us the favor of enlarging just the first letter of our new bookmark and puts in on a somewhat contrasting color background. My initial searches didn’t help.

Would you know how to customize the bookmark file image used in Safari ?
