Should I install Total Av or Malware Bytes?

First a little education, Mac OS was designed to be extremely secure from it's onset. If simply kept up-to-date and other wise left alone it will continue to be secure. Mac OS does NOT require any third party antivirus, cleaning or any other types of third party maintenance apps, these tend to create more problems than they solve. When users begin adding these types of apps they inadvertently introduce problems to a very stable operating system.


Your system has CleanMyMac installed which is considered malware by experienced users. Please locate the developers instructions for unistalling it and please uninstall. Then restart in Safe Mode per the directions in Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support and then restart normally and re-test.

If you suspect something wrong then it's best to describe the problem and also doing the following.
