Why is my Voice Memo app not working?

I have an iPhone X, when I press the red button to start voice recording, it remains pressed for two seconds and then let’s go with 0 seconds of recording shown. I’ve tried restarting my phone a couple of times too but the problem remains. Please help me out with the same. Thankyou

If those steps don't fix it, then you'll need to restore your iPhone and set up as new. If still unresolved, then you need to contact Apple support.
