USB superdrive not recognized

Hi there,

My MacBook Air (2013) with processor 1,3Ghz - intel Core I5, memory 4MB 1,600MHz DDR3, does not recognise anymore the external Mac USB Superdrive.

I just updated the operative system macOS High Sierra version 10.13.2.

Can it be this the problem?

Please help

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8), MacBook 4.1

It should still be recognized. Check by using both USB ports on your MacBook Air. Also please insert a CD or DVD into the SuperDrive. It won't show that it's connected unless there is a disc inserted.
