apple virus warning

I just received a message from apple:
saying my mac is infected by a Trojan and I have only minutes to solve.
Can this be a scam?

Yes, any such message will always be a scam.
Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support
You should quit Safari (assuming you are using Safari)
Hold the "Shift" key and re-launch Safari to clear its caches.
You could consider changing your DNS server to OpenDNS.com which might filter out some annoying known bad DNS names.
You could try installing an Ad block extension such as uBlock Origin
that might help.
