My Activity app steps and my Health app steps are not the same. Activity app steps are about 2-3000 steps higher per day. How do I get them in sync and which one is correct?

Apple Watch 3 iphone 7 plus. Version 11.2.2 (phone) My Activity app steps and my Health app steps are not the same. Activity app steps are about 2-3000 steps higher per day. How do I get them in sync and which one is correct? I’ve tried to research how to input info for activity app but that only seems to be when it is a new watch. This started when I got the new watch 1/4/18 and setup from my Apple Watch 2

Apple Watch Series 3, iOS 11.2.2

Hi

If it is not already listed as the primary source, then it may help to move your Apple Watch above your iPhone in the data sources list for Steps:

On your iPhone, in the Health app, go to: Health Data > Activity > Steps > Data Sources & Access > Edit (upper-right) > drag upwards on the three lines icon next to your Apple Watch > Done (upper-right).

I suggest moving your iPhone below all of the Apple Watch entries, leaving the Health app at the top.

There is no need to delete the previous Apple Watch sources, which are associated with the data that they shared to the Health app.

If the issue then persists, I suggest contacting Apple Support for assistance:

Thank you in my data source the health app is at the top but the data is from 2014 even though on the health app itself I have current data. Do I leave it there or move it down the list? Also I have about 6 listings for Apple Watch’s That are no longer paired nor should be paired. I can not find a way to delete them. Do I need to, if so how or call Apple and have them walk me through it. Thank you
