Error -50. What to do?
I am getting an err -50 message. What should I do?

It helps when posting a question to put in more detail or else we are left wildly guessing and probably also giving you bad suggestions (plus wasting our time as volunteers 🙂 ).
Error -50 is an old, old "problem with a connection" message.It can be anything from a bad wire somewhere to a slow server.
It’s a Mac Book Pro. Brand new. I am doownloading for IMatch cloud.

Are you using iTunes' menu to do File > Library > Update iCloud Music Library? Perhaps that's what you are trying to say.
