My daughter's home has Apple Airport Extreme 5th generation with 3 airport express extensions - My question is: Can I purchase an Apple Airport Extreme 6th generation to extend the network into a new addition space?
iPhone 4, iOS 5.1, iPhone 3 never had this problem
You can, but the wireless performance on the new AirPort Extreme will be no better than the signal quality that is being provided by the 5th Gen AirPort.
If wireless performance is important to you in the main area near the 5th Gen AirPort, you might consider making the new AirPort Extreme your "main" router, and then use the 5th Gen to extend the network.
Very helpful-thank you very much
Can I mix generations (5th and 6th) with wifi extension using two airport extremes?
