Ive tried to put itunes in trash from control panel but it wont let me?

imac says you cant trash iTunes cause OS.X

MacBook Air - Storage & iTunes I have a 2017 MacBook Air. Mainly used for work, so I have a lot of files. I keep getting the "Your disk is almost full" message so I try to clean up older files. I just noticed that over half of my storage is consumed by iTunes... Is there a way to remove this from my computers memory? If I delete iTunes or the music on my computer, will it delete it off my iTunes account on my phone (I know they should be the same account, but will it effect the other?)? Just trying to clean this computer up as opposed to buying a new one due to storage. Thank you!

iTunes for Mac My iTunes is not opening for reason it is being updated. I am unable to uninstall iTunes so as to reinstall it. I get a message "You do not have permission " although this is a home computer and does not have an Administrator. How do I uninstall iTunes?

If you're trying to re-install iTunes, simply do so from:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download

Do not place anything in the trash.

If you're trying to do something else, tell us what.

thankyou but al that link did was take me to downloading iTunes? I want to get rid of this version of iTunes first.
