Well, my new year's resolution was to never respond in any threads about battery life, as it is unrewarding. Now I know why I made it. I'll try to be better the rest of the year.

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand that since updating to iOS 11.2.5 you're having trouble with your battery draining faster than normal. I know how important it is for your device to stay charged properly, I'd like to help. First I'd recommend reviewing the information here regarding iPhone Battery and Performance
Next, you can use these steps to see how your battery is being consumed as well as Settings you can change to get the most from your battery:
About the battery usage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touchCheck battery usage
Go to Settings > Battery.
To see how long each app has been open and running in the background, tap . Under each app, you might see these usage types:
- Background Activity means that your battery is used while apps run in the background.
- Audio means that apps play audio while running in the background.
- No Cell Coverage and Low Signal means that your device is searching for a signal or being used with a low signal.
- Backup & Restore indicates that your device has been backing up to iCloud or restoring from an iCloud backup.
- Location and Background Location means that your battery was used when tracking your device.
Adjust settings to improve battery life
While viewing your battery usage, you might get a suggestion like Enable Auto-Brightness or Adjust Display Brightness. This is because iOS determined that changing these settings could improve your battery life. You can also see the usage times since the last full charge.

That's a gutsy resolution!
Yes, absolutely agree. And in my situation (the battery is new) seems that I have no choices. That’s the last apple device for me.
But the problem went away after you made some changes. Which is exactly what I said; the update process caused the problem, not the version you updated to.
I'll just keep Siri disabled...I use Google anyways
But the problem also re-apeared after a reboot (or more specific after my battery went dead regularly). So to me the problem seems to appear sort of randomly after startup.
Nonsense. I'll stop feeding this troll as this is not constructive at all.
So what is your helpful solution?
Thanks, Annie. I hope it works as well for you on your iPhone. Battery life is a very complicated subject, and one that people (justifiably) get really worked up about.
Exactly same problem here, i recharge my iphone every 8h, hard reset dont change anything .... its something with standby
It will start an iCloud sync, unless you go to iCloud settings and turn off the sync switches.
Wait a sec...You're talking about the guy who said "You're holding it wrong" in response to complaints about poor cellular performance.
I have the same problem on an iPhone X 3 months old; tried the iCloud Drive and the iMessages fix but nothing work. Hope a fix comes soon
In my case, changing my Apple ID password seems to have fixed the drain. Also, I deativated everything from iCloud (calendar, safari..) except for Notes.
