Can I edit a video and add a new background using a green screen with iMovie 10.1.8?

To put a new background in an existing video you would need to record the video in front of a green screen or blue screen. Then you could use the green screen effect in iMovie to eliminate the green or blue background and superimpose the clip over a new background.
