iPad Pro battery keeps beeping - while NOT plugged in

I’ve searched the forums and elsewhere online and so far I have not seen any answer for posts as far back as January of last year.

I’m hoping someone has come up with a fix. Because I don’t see the point of going to the Apple help store (which takes hours) only for them not to see the problem but to do the same things I’ve done - yet it still hasn’t fixed it.

The problem happens only when NOT charging.

It doesn’t matter how much battery life is left, it will start and stop beeping randomly, very quckly If it is fully charged or 50% or lower.

when it does the beeping, the battery icon in the upper left corner flashes repeatedly from battery icon, to charging icon and back and forth.

The software is up to date.

I‘ve restarted. And I’ve done hard resets.

I have not installed or removed any programs.

There is nothing left inside the charging port - no fuzz or dirt.

Any ideas on what to try is appreciated.
