I recently bought VW Tiguan and found that it has issues with connecting to iPhone X through Carplay. It gets disconnected for every minute. Does anyone else have this problem? I tried my wife's iPhone X as well and it has same issues.

Hi kenuete, I have a similar problem but not the same... since getting my iPhone 7 in January, CarPlay won’t connect at all to my new phone but works with everyone else’s and my partners year old iPhone 7 (I have a Volkswagen Golf), Apple are insisting I have the latest update. Does yours connect at all??
I've got a new T6 Kombi with the Discover headunit and CarPlay and an iPhone X, I get a constant connecting to usb/disconnecting usb message.
It actually connects and works about 1 in 5 attempts, no matter what sequence I use to try and initiate a connection.
I've tried plugging the lead in first, then turning on the ignition.
I've tried unlocking first, then lead, then ignition.
I've tried ignition, then lead.
And every other combination you can think of.
Every now and again it works first time for no reason.
It's not the lead or socket, I've tried a 7 and an 8 and they work first time every time.
Very frustrating, flagship phone, flagship headunit and yet they don't play nicely together.
Come on Apple sort this out, I came away from HTC as I wanted a more stable environment and I'm starting to think it was a mistake.
It connects for few seconds and then disconnects. I have stopped trying now and got used to with the system maps.
