If it's iTunes purchased music it should (if it's still in the store and you haven't hidden it) show in the Purchased tab in the iTunes Store app. If it's Apple Music downloads I don't know, I don't use it so not sure whether previous downloads can easily be redownloaded
That worked, but is there a way to get all of my previously downloaded music back without having to go and search for it all again?
Which account do I log out of? My Apple ID or out of Apple Music?
Depends upon when you are getting the message, if when trying to download something you log out of the store
