Mac - Anti Virus??
Good Morning All,
Do Mac/iOS? really need anti-virus software now?
Have never used anything ever and have - hopefully not got any issues.
Mac Book Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.3)

if you are using an non jailbroken iOS device then the tools needed to create an iOS virus do not exist for developers to do something like that.
at this time there are no reported virus from any credible securities lab in the world for OS X. While that may change tomorrow the findings on this forum point to that most if not all Anti-Virus solutions for Mac should be avoided for a list of reasons; including nothing to protect against and causing instability and conflict.
The "credible" windows AV providers are generally the worst offenders with their offerings.
The single best software defense on Mac is to keep your device up-to-date with OS X and securities updates from Apple.
