Touch ID stopped working after battery replacement
Took iPhone 7 Plus to store and had battery replaced. Since then Touch ID doesn work. Followed suggestion for fix. That is, do restart, clear existing ID and try new fingerprint setup. Still failed. Online support did a test and said hardware passed test. After trying for days to get an appointment at a Genius Bar, I did a backup with iTunes on my Mac Pro, did a total reset and content clear and then did a new phone setup. The Touch ID didn’t work during initial setup. Still trying to get an appointme at Genius Bar.
