Photo Lost on Wassap camera icon

Hi everyone, I took some pictures with camera icon from wassap while chating with one contact. After tacking the pictures, instead of pushing the blue arrow send icon, I pushed the upper left corner “X”. Now the pictures are gone and they are not on Photos app.

Is there any way to recover them?
