Importing tiffs into Lightroom

How to I prevent my pictures from being converted from tiff to jpeg when importing them from Photos into Lightroom? Thanks!

If you are exporting the photos from Photos to import them to LightRoom, and the originals are TIFF files, use the command "File > Export > Export unmodified Original".

To export edited versions, do not use drag-and-drop. That will only save JPEG previews.

The "File > Export > Export .. Photos" dialog for edited versions defaults to "Photo Kind: JPEG", but you can switch the file format to TIFF.
