I imported CDs yesterday with no problem and yet today, after having problems with my library on iTunes, it wont let me import any. I get the following error message. I have done what it said and still no joy! Please help!

When you added permissions for your profile did you also Apply to enclosed items? Use Get Info on the folders you want to copy to or from in turn. Click the lock at the bottom right to make changes. Make sure that locked isn't ticked and that your own account has read & write access, then use the gear icon to apply the permissions to enclosed items and confirm.

Apologies for that. I'll try to make bigger. Yes I changed permissions & applied.
Something else strange has just happened.....the same error message but then i saw that it had put the contents of the CD on the desktop so I could save them to a folder and then get them into itunes that way? Not really sure!

Thanks for your reply, but I have already done all that, as I mentioned and still doesn't work!
I have to say that screenshot is so tiny for me it is almost impossible to read it (and zoom for me does not zoom the image).
You changed permissions and applied them to all enclosed folders?

I have done all you suggested and unfortunately I am still unable to convert the files, download new CDs, edit song or album info etc!
Any advice would be much appreciated 🙂
Nothing else comes immediately to mind. What are your import settings? Have you tried changing them to see if iTunes will import using a different format or bitrate?
