iPhone 7 Taptic Engine suddenly stopped working, home button works but doesn’t click

I was using my phone this morning and it was working perfectly fine- 3D Touch was working, the home button was working. Suddenly the Taptic Engine stopped working all together. My home button still works completely fine, however it no longer clicks. 3D Touch also works fine but I do not get any haptic feedback. There is no water damage or any other damage that I am aware of, and until now it has always worked perfectly. I have already reset my phone several times, held the power and volume down button, and turned on and off the haptic system toggle switch in settings. Do I need to get a new Taptic Engine?
