Why is my Macbook making loud fan noises?

Help! I have a new Macbook Pro 13" 2017 Touchbar. Ever since I got it in October 2017, it had been making loud fan noises even when I'm basically not doing anything (only opening my email account, writing in Pages, with no other applications open). I have read about how laptops may make loud fan noises when they are busy, and we need to reset SMC or something. I tried doing that, but really, the laptop was not busy in the first place. A few weeks ago for about 10 days, it stops making that noise out of nowhere, but now the noises returned.

Anyone has any idea how to stop this? It gets really annoying especially when you're working and listening to Spotify from your laptop without earphones. 😟

If it happens, start up Activity Monitor via Applications>Utilities>Activity Monitor and look at what it says for CPU and Energy. Occasionally it's some runaway program. It could also be a lot of web pages open that are running Flash or Javascript. The "mdworker" process often causes almost runaway fan activity as it's indexing your drive for Spotlight searches.

The Adobe program that you're running seems to be using the most. Is it just doing that for little peaks, or is it consistently like that? It doesn't seem that bad. It certainly doesn't look like anything that should generate enough heat that the minimum fan speed shouldn't be able to properly cool.

Here's a discussion on that program:
