Can't Allow Software from Symantec in Security & Privacy

Hi,

Hoping someone can help, trying to install Norton Symantec anti virus and it just won't let me. Clicking allow as it's telling me to in System Preferences > Security & Privacy but nothing happens. I've read here

and someone mentions 'if the mouse/trackpad is emulated by a 3rd party application...' that it won't work. Well I have a Wacom tablet, no mouse, or trackpad. Would that be why?

Recently updated to High Sierra 10.13.2 (17C88)

You don't want to install any security software on your Mac. One they affect performance, two, they aren't necessary, and last, they can actually corrupt the system.

You really, don't want to install Norton products.

Your Mac is trying to protect itself. Let it.

Rule 1 of Macs is don't install junk.

Do not install especially any Norton product.
