I accidentally called a scam number.

If you called them but didn't give them any information, there's nothing to worry about. Delete the number from recents.

Simply calling a number can not hack your phone. These scams rely on the user allowing access to their computer, and/or disclosing personal/financial info.

If you didn't give them any information, you don't have anything to worry about. Simply calling a number can't hack your phone.

I had this happen as well. A pop up showed and options were to cancel or call. Safari became unresponsive after hitting cancel. It was stuck on that screen so I just hit call. I hung up but safari was still stuck. I later figured out to do this: Go to Settings --> Safari and tap “Clear History” and “Clear Cookies and Data” then restart your phone instead of trying to close out the pop up.

Once again, no, calling a number does not give the party at the other end of the line any access to your phone.

Nothing can happen from a phone call.
