Series 3 SS 42mm Apple Watch keeps Restarting!

Need help! Very frustrating!!

I am having the issue on my Series 3 SS 42mm. I have had this issue with my watch since the last update 4.2.2. My watch keeps restarting randomly also restarts when i try running apps like myfitnesspal and others. This started the same day of the update.

Anyone else having this problem? Is there a fix or suggestion?? Please share.

I have done most of the steps mention on a Apple Support such as restart both the watch and phone; unpair and set up as new, resetting, etc....and still the problem persist! Its very frustrating because I’ve never had these issues before on this watch and the previous version!

A friend told me his watch has same issues with his series 3 since last update and his watch was stable before too.

Please let me know if anyone has encountered this problem or know of a possible way to fix this.

Thanks

Hi

It is certainly not normal for your Apple Watch to restart unexpectedly.

Whilst I can't say why that has been happening, the following steps may help to stop if from happening again (check performance after each before moving on to the next):

Close certain apps and then restart (normally) both your iPhone and your Apple Watch:

Check for any known issues with affected third-party apps by consulting the developers' support resources and/or contacting the developers.

Having followed the previous steps, unpair and re-pair your Apple Watch again

Test by changing notification settings and/or by removing watch face complications and third-party apps:

If the issue persists, then I suggest that you contact Apple Support (remote diagnostics and/or mail-in service may be available, if required), make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider for assistance:

You are right! That message is from a bot and post everywhere. There is a recent update that came out last weekend for the Apple Watch and iPhone. I updated my iPhone first with the new iOS, then updated all the apps. Next, I ran the Apple Watch update from my phone.

All is working now and no more crashing or rebooting is happening. I also, turn off all the app notification that I did not need especially for old apps. The culprit is somewhere in an outdated/incompatible app on your phone and the notification services. Start by turning off (disable) all notifications on your watch, using the Watch app and see if the issue persist. If it doesn't, there's your issue, problem and focus for a fix. If it still crashes after doing that, then it is definitely something wrong with the watch. Hope this information helps. The new iphone/watch update pretty much solved the issue for me. No more restarting...Hallejuah!!
