Someone on Facebook is using my email address

I have just received an email from Facebook in the Thai language. I am not on FB and do not speak Thai !

I copied and pasted the email into on-line translator and this is what I got :

(Translation)

"New email address added on Facebook.

To: Fish Genetics

< (my email address!) >

ReplyTo: noreply

<noreply@facebookmail.com>"...

It then gave the fish guy a code number to input..then

"This message was sent to (my email address) If you do not wish to receive these emails from Facebook in the future, please unsubscribe. If you did not create a Facebook account using this email address. Please let us know

Facebook, Inc., Attention: Community Support, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025 "

I have tried to contact FB support/community but you need to be a member! As I am not a FB member I cannot contact anyone at FB!

This seems like a security breach and I am ensnared...Is my only option to tell them by international snail mail ?? Is there a better way ?

any ideas are welcome, Ross

you got spammed, don't respond.

the security breach is you have an email account, if you don't want to get spammed try and limit using your email account anywhere on the web or give it out to anyone when you send an email, which is what happens when you send an email. Otherwise expect more spam at some point.

But that will mean someone is using MY email address and presumably I will keep getting duplicate incoming emails ? Shouldn't I get FB to take action ?
