This has probably been asked before but ... I use Google as my search engine and stays logged in in a non private window but always have to login if using private. This can be a bit frustrating, is there a way to stay logged in ?

Don't close the Private Window. When you do, everything is deleted.
If you have set search engine as google link and set as non private browsing mode , when ever you open the web browser it will open non private browsing mode window , simultaneously you press command , shift and N key on the keyboard it will open private browsing window .
It means on the desktop a window with non private browsing mode and another with private browsing mode .
The Mac to be still logged in close the window of private browsing mode , so that left over window is of non private browsing .
Safari Private Window keep login ?
