As of late my iBooks Author app keeps on crashing. As soon as it opens nothing happens, until I try to type or edit.
Is there a way to solve this problem? I have tried to delete the app then re-download it back ... and still this happens. I have tried to delete the plist and still this problem occurs.

What type of Mac?
Are you trying to open the app only or are you trying to launch it by double clicking an existing book file?
Try creating a new test user and see if it happens on a test user on your computer to see if it’s system wide or tied to your user account. Don’t use the guest user, crest a new user. Skip the iCloud setup, just see if iBooks Author will lanch
So is the crashing only on a particular file or can you open iBooks Author fresh with no book selected, and then do New from Template Chooser?
Is the crashing only on one book or any book fresh from a new template too?
I have done what you've suggested and it still crashed.
I'm using Mac OSX version 10.13.4 (17E139j), Pages version 6.3.1 (5249), iBooks Author version 2.6 (5249).
Any more suggestions?
