Uninstall Intego and AVG following the uninstall procedure provided by the developer. Having one AV package is bad enough but two is really horrible for performance.


Uninstall Dr. Cleaner also. It is worthless.

Hello aaron2020,

AVG is always running, with a kernel extension no less. I'm sure the OS update did not help your speed. It may have broken some of the 3rd party software that was causing the problem. Regardless, your machine was running about 10 times too slow. I suspect you will have problems in the future. When that happens, come back here with an updated EtreCheck report.
