Hi all, I have an iphone x. I have uploaded all my burnt cds to itunes, so have all my old music plus my bought music now on itunes. However, I cannot get itunes to sync the burnt music to my iphone. Any ideas please? Thanks

Hi there, I was struggling for two hours with this problem yesterday, I finally found MY solution and thought that it might help you. Because I don't normally play music from my computer, only from my IOS devices, I keep storage drives that hold music and photos off until I need them. When I connected my brand new iPhone X to iTunes, it showed my entire library of music, even though that storage drive wasn't active. Nothing worked until I tried switching to "manually manage music" and dragged a few albums over and that's when the notification popped up that the items couldn't be found. I turned on the drive and all is well. Good luck.
Make sure your computer iTunes is version 12.7.x or later to sync with iPhone X.
Have you checked the sync selections on the device's summary, music and other tabs? It could perhaps have switched into manually managed mode.

Thanks for your help. But the device (phone) shows up fine. And I'm following all the steps in the other link. All the downloaded content syncs fine. Its just the burnt from cd's content that won't sync from itunes to the device now that I've upgraded to ios 11. Any more ideas?
You might want to take a look at Make a split library portable. Keeping your library in this prevents some of the issues that arise if you ever start iTunes when storage locations are offline, and it makes it easier to back up the library and move it around.
