iPhone 8 Camera Frozen Locked-Up Too

Hi Everyone,

I have done plenty of research on this for over two hours.

I can't say the solutions are consistent or ideal.

From what I can tell there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why the iPhone 8 camera locks up.

It is clear there is a software glitch and needs attention as the camera frozen problem seems to occur with a lot of poeple and has spanned several generations of iPhones. Let's face it, the camera is an important part of daily iPhone life.

What have I tried?

I've tried closing the iPhone 8 camera app...simplest solution and then restarting it.

I've tried soft and hard re-boots of the iPhone 8....then starting the camera app. No luck.

I've tried shaking the phone with the IPhone 8 camera turned on. No luck.

I've tried turning options in various setting areas on and off...with an without re-starting the camera...and closing the iPhone 8 camera back off.

What have I not tried?

I have not tried Resetting All Settings. A popular solution. But why have not tried this? Apparently you lose WiFi network settings and I really don't want to have to fuss with loss of WiFi names and passwords. Would be nice to unload this first....do the reset...then reload the WiFi settings to include the names and passwords.

There is a recovery mode that can be done in which you apparently don't lose data, but I can't say I'm enthusiastic about this option either as I could end up losing "something" that I don't want to lose. Recommendations

Has anyone done anything that consistently works? I use the word "consistently" because the frozen iPhone 8 camera problem can apparently keep coming back.

Apple needs to find a radical solution to correct this problem from happening.
