Can't drag photos from Photos to Skype

Not able to send photos in Skype using Photos app

Re-opening an ignored thread in case someone knows of a fix.

Worked a treat with iPhoto. Why do options disappear when "progress" is apparently the name of the game?!

Why do options disappear? Because Apple updates software and third parties also have to update theirs to stay compatible - when Skype updates their client it will work

In the mean time you either have to use the media browser or export form Photos and use the exported photo

The media browser is in the open or select file window from a browser or application like this one from Safari when adding a photo to a post:

User uploaded file

It's not the type of file you can drag into Skype but where the file is located. In the new Photos library Skype has to be updated to work with it or use the Media route as shown above.

Or just drag from the library to the Desktop, add to Skype from there and delete when done.

Thanks for reply. So this isn't a Photos 'problem' or issue, but a Skype one? I didn't think so because I can drag any other file type into Skype just like I always have. I changed from iPhoto to Photos, and it stopped working, yet Skype still accepts all over files. Therefore it seemed more likely to be Photos causing the issue. Are you saying for certain that this is not the case?

What is the "media browser"?
